Open Build and Gunpla Experience
Join us in our open build. We have experienced builders here to guide you and give you tips to further expand into building models. We will have limited trial kits for you to experience building a model kit for the first time.

Register here! The ShowCase is the best place for showing your best works of models kits, dioramas and painted kits. Enter the chance for top prizing and or a chance to win one of the specialized categories. (Cap 3 entries 1 per category)
ShowCase Categories
- Small – 8x8x8 inches* and smaller
- Medium – 8x8x8 inches to 14x14x14 inches*
- Large – 14x14x14 inches* and larger
- Youth – No size limit; Participants must be under the age of 14.

- Voted by the attendees during the convention, this award will be given to the entry that caught the most eyes during the weekend.
- Best Mecha Musume

Do you have a Mecha Musume/Humanoid Model kit (Frame Arms Girl, Megami Device, 30 Minutes Sisters etc.) to show off? Enter it to win and gain the right to say yours is the “Best Girl”. Winning criteria will be subjective to our Dave’s taste, so do your best to convince him why your girl is best. Judged by Dave from the Gunpla Ottawa.

- Do you enjoy scenery? Show me your best battlefield, your most favorite scene. Let your imagination tell the story of your artwork. This prize is awarded to the best art piece entered into our showcase. Judged by Kevin from the Calgary Gunpla Community.

Melee Madness

Guns can be so clunky and loud, we like to keep things up close and personal. This prize is awarded to the best kit that is equipped with only melee weapons. Make sure your entry is ready for a brawl. Judged by Jesse from Gunpla Ottawa.

- You can never be over-prepared. This award is for having the most weapons and armor possible on your piece. Judged by Derrick from the Calgary Gunpla Community.

From the wacky, to the loud, to the most breathtaking! This prize will be awarded to the best painting job, the most unique paint job, or the build that would be most described, as a work of art! Chosen by Alina from the Calgary Gunpla Community

Judged on three criteria = Build, Paint, and Creativity.
The build and paint score is based on the quality of the build and the paint. Creativity is based on the level and execution of the build creating something beyond the contents of the box.
