Biography
Soltysketches is a cosplayer and artist with a BFA in acting and has worked in the animation industry for 10 years. With over 12 cosplay builds under her belt and multiple awards, she has slowly wiggled her way into her local cosplay community like the true gremlin she is. She is known for larger than life builds, using a multitude of techniques to create gravity defying or interactive elements in her cosplays and props. Every build is a chance to learn a new technique, leading to her being a jack of all trades with knowledge in sewing, foam smithing, 3d modelling, prosthetics, animatronics, pattern making and many others. Solty loves the research that goes into each cosplay, finding ways to create storytelling moments in her builds while staying true to the accuracy of the characters in both fabrication and on stage. She’s thrilled to be at Anime Ottawa to celebrate the first ever Cosplay-Eh! Canadian Cosplay Championship with everyone!
