How Japanese Swordsman confronted mortality - Lessons for Adaptability in Modern Life

Vendredi 16 h

Présenté en anglais.

« Being a samurai in ancient Japan was not easy. Tasked to defend their masters from uprisings, assassinations, and even daily unrest, makes the occasional pothole or derecho storm seem insignificant. And yet, the mental and physical stresses we face in modern life are strangely comparable.

In this workshop, we’ll introduce the traditional martial art of Iaido: The art of sword drawing. You’ll get to practice techniques using a training (wood) sword as designed for real historical scenarios, and gain a better appreciation for how to apply these lessons to your daily life. »
