She is the “Beautiful Fighting Girl,” and she’s been a major part of Japanese popular culture for a long, long time. Join anime scholar and professor Matt Poulter (Carleton University) for this journey into the history of one of Japan’s most recognizable exports, where we’ll try to answer a simple but big question: why are we fascinated with Beautiful Fighting Girls?
